We are living in a digital age where catching up on tv shows is as easy as clicking a link that takes you to a video player that works the same way as Youtube. Unfortunately Youtube does not allow copyrighted material so the demand for that was filled by various different websites that I have listed below. This method is 100% legal and 100% Free!. You never have to download the file so you are not in possession of any copyrighted file. All you are doing is streaming the video on a website that takes all the responsibility.
By now you must have heard different people such as your friends/kids/cousins/people at work bragging about how they cancelled their cable to save money by watching everything online. When i say everything I mean all shows from the beginning of time to the one that aired last night. Some people watch shows on the internet using services such as Netflix, Hulu or other various subscription based services. These sites appear on mainstream media and are even built in smart TVs and on your Xbox, playstation and Wii game consoles.
The problem with Netflix and Hulu is that you have to use your hard earned money to access their site at around 10-15 dollars per month. Also you are limited to what shows are on and which seasons of the shows are available. This usually depends on what region you are viewing Netflix from (USA Netflix has the largest selection) . It usually takes a long time for an episode that was on TV last night to actually be available on Netflix.
I wont go into detail on the paid services because the purpose of this blog is to educate you on how to access your shows for FREE, but if you want to know how to access Netflix for free there are websites that post Netflix account usernames and passwords that can be used by anyone (they usually expire in a week to a month, but again it makes Netflix FREE! I cant post links to those sites here but a simple google search for "free netflix passwords" will take you a long way.
Guide to watching television shows / movies online:
Step 1. Download a program that blocks popups and ads (optional but highly recommended)
Since
Download Adblock which disables popups, ads and false links: www.adblockplus.org and click install and follow the steps, it will make you restart your browser and ta-da thats it! no more youtube ads or annoying popups that make sounds and play songs.
Step 2. Getting down to business
Simplicity is key when searching for the show you want to watch. I will provide links below to sites that host most if not all tv shows and you wont have to use a search engine to find the episode you are looking for, but sometimes less popular shows are not on the site that I post or the episode you want to see that you missed last night has not been posted yet because it usually takes 6-24hours to show up on the sites.
Example 1:
I want to find Walking dead season 2 episode 4
Method 1: You can use the links i have provided and use the search on that site and write Walking Dead in the search box. After that it will list results and you click on walking dead and then select season 2 from the list and then select episode 4 from the drop down menu
My handpicked selection of websites that work the best and have the most links:
1. http://www.alluc.to/ simple and easy to use, a lot of tv shows and movies too
2. http://watchseries.lt Also has "newest episodes added" and "this weeks popular episodes"
3. http://watchserieshd.eu/ Has a simple layout and one of the best selection of stream links
4. www.primewire.ag Remember to click TV shows on upper menu before searching otherwise it only searches movie titles.
5. http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/ for documentaries go here, most sites have documentaries listed under movies.
Method 2: Google the following "Watch (enter show/movie title here) online free" so you would Google "watch walking dead online free" and you will see the following Click here to view example and you can also Google "Watch walking dead season 2 episode 4 online free" if you want a more direct link (i usually just Google the show name, you can try different methods but these 2 usually work just fine)
Step 3: What link to click on?
This is where most people get frustrated/Confused. You have now found what you are looking for and you are staring at a long list of links to what you are trying to find. Most important tip I can give is anything that says sponsored link or just says Watch HD or looks really generic is not a real link, avoid these.
What is the difference? Why are there so many? Why is the streaming choppy/slow/no audio?
Different links are different video players, some good and easy to use, some standard definition some high definition which means if your connection is slow go with the standard definition links and "lighter players"(simplicity is always best when it comes to video players)
Best working video hosting links in my experience
In the picture on the right you see what it looks like after you have selected the episode you wish to watch and from here you get directed to the actual video player to watch whatever you are looking for. (these sites that host videos can have high traffic on evenings when people are off work and you might have to go through 2-10 links before finding one that works without having to let the video "buffer"(which means you have to wait around while the video loads otherwise it will stop every 15 seconds and load for 30seconds, just close that link and move on to the next one.
If your internet connection/computer is slow some of the links that have HD quality video might not be the best option, because we are trying to just stream it and not waste time waiting around.
My personal favourites ranked from best to worst: (do not go to these links from here, they are just used here to tell you what to look for when you see the dozens of links listed for whatever you decide to watch)
1.Sockshare 9/10 times it will work without any problems unless the file has been deleted
2. Putlocker Excatly the same player as Sockshare just a different name
3. Vodlocker Fast stream speeds and good quality also goes by the name Vlocker
4. Played.to Just click proceed to video and play, works most of the time without loading
5. Nowvideo also a good option, simple player that works
6. Movreel Possibly the lightest player and loads really fast
7. flashx.tv remember to click the little X when closing the ad ontop of the player
8. Gorillavid if all else fails choose this before trying the random ones
9. Movpod works like gorillavid but has alot of traffic sometimes
10 Movshare, Divxstage, Videoweed HD quality but sometimes wont play without loading, this is my last option if all else fails.
These are just my favorite ones, you can look at the ratings / thumbs up next to the link and experiment for yourselves if you please, But the ones I listed you can count on knowing they will not be viruses / false links.
Tip 1: Look at the picture above, after clicking on the link always choose "free" or "slow download" it wont actually be slow, this is just a way for the sites to get members to pay money so you dont need to see ads (but we have adblock installed so there is no difference NEVER PAY)
Tip 2: if you click play and it just pops up another window look under the player and see if theres a box that says "proceed to video" click on that to get to the actual video.
Tip 3 If the video freezes and does not load either refresh the page or just select another link until you find one that works (remember to note the time on which you got frozen at so you can easily get to the same spot on your new link
PS:
There are hundreds of websites promising free links to TV shows and Movies and most of them are real but some are just scams that want you to do surveys to unlock the link ( THIS IS A SCAM NEVER WASTE TIME ON SURVEYS OR FILL ANY FORMS WITH PERSONAL INFORMATION OR CREATE ACCOUNTS)
Trust me when i say this, there are dozens of sites that require no account to watch shows, so if you run into a site that wants you to login, just go back to the links selection and select another option.
